It was one of the first comedies that wasn't gag-dominated and where viewers watched and were able to instantly relate to character on the screen. And you know what? There's something very satisfying about sitting screaming "YES!" at the screen when those relatable moments appear. "Dante hates work? Me too! They get it!" As the writer mentioned, it's why "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "King of Queens" were so popular. You can swap out every episode with another (they pretty much all blended together), but you can't deny there's something satisfying about watching a character who deals with the same stuff as you.

If you notice, this trend has started in music, too. Especially hip-hop. When famous rappers aren't rapping about how much they hate being famous, they just rap about having a good time getting hammered with their buddies. It's The Hangover, just in music form. Airplane and Austin Powers are A Tribe Called Quest and The Notorious B.I.G. Albums and songs have become journals rather than stories. It's sad. Then again, I never listend to "I Got a Story to Tell" and blurted out "Oh my God, me too!" like I do when Drake's talking about ballin' at the club, chemo.

Re: http://dangurewitch.tumblr.com/post/3820069674

They are adorable. This has broken my heart sir, and I can only dream of being able to watch Mormonism brought to its knees like a two cent hooker in the back of a Tootsy Roll Factory. But hell, we all have dreams, right? And the hooker is not my dream--though it might be my brothers.

Re: http://dangurewitch.tumblr.com/post/3240442725

Can we book you guys in australia??

Re: http://dangurewitch.tumblr.com/post/2474864599

next stop dying alone, i can not stop laughing

Re: http://dangurewitch.tumblr.com/post/3583912808

he does a great lebowski. perfect pronunciation of the word man

Re: http://dangurewitch.tumblr.com/post/3069236413

You were in India?! 0_o
God damn me for not following you around the country >_<

Re: http://dangurewitch.tumblr.com/post/3295040826

I thought her new stupid song sounded like Madonna's song too...i mean...i didn't watch the Grammys...

Re: http://dangurewitch.tumblr.com/post/521661588

Haha!
